Privacy Policy

RoundsAhead ("RoundsAhead," "we," "us") provides pre-health pathway planning tools for high school students and their families. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using RoundsAhead you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information. Your email address, and — if you sign in with Google or Apple — the basic profile information those providers share (email and a stable account identifier). We store a hashed password only if you create a password-based account.
• Information you enter. The student information you add to plan with, such as name, graduation year, high school, city/state, GPA, test scores, coursework, activities and awards, college lists and application checklists, essay drafts, campus-visit notes, and financial-aid award letters you choose to enter.
• Payment information. If you purchase, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We do not receive or store full card numbers; we store a record that a purchase was made and your entitlement status.
• Technical information. Basic logs needed to operate and secure the service (for example, request metadata and error logs).

How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the planning tools and save your work across your devices.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To process purchases and manage access to paid features.
• To respond to support requests and send essential service messages.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the information you enter to serve advertising.

How information is shared

• Service providers that operate the product on our behalf — for example, sign-in providers (Google, Apple), our payment processor (Stripe), and hosting/infrastructure. They may only use the information to provide services to us.
• Legal reasons — if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the service.
• Business transfers — if RoundsAhead is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that transaction.

Your choices and rights

• Access and edit. You can view and change the information you entered directly in the app.
• Export. You can export a full copy of your data as a JSON file at any time from the app.
• Delete. You can delete your account from within the app. Deleting your account removes your student data from our active systems; residual copies may persist briefly in backups before they age out.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove your data from active systems and it ages out of routine backups thereafter.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

RoundsAhead is intended for high school students and their families and is meant for users age 13 and older; accounts are typically created and managed by a parent or guardian. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
